PORT AUSTIN, Mich. — Sandusky antique dealer Denise Kelley will present “Antiques: What’s Hot, What’s Not, And What You Need to Know” at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 22 at the Port Austin History Center, 1424 Pointe Aux Barques Rd. Presented by the Port Austin Historical Society, the event is open to the public free of charge.
Dressed in vintage clothing, Kelley will provide an informative and entertaining look at current trends in antique collecting. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity for audience members to have items evaluated for a small fee. A white elephant sale will also take place on the history center grounds from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Kelley has 18 years of experience in the antique business, specializing in appraisals and estate sales. She is a former antique shop owner. Her love for antiques goes back to her childhood when she searched for treasures in the attic of her family’s farmhouse.
